Quote

A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between work and play; labor and leisure; mind and body; education and recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both.” - Lawrence Pearsall Jacks, Education Through Recreation (1932)

Something to Watch - The Invite

There’s been so many reasons to get there already so far this summer, and Sundance breakout, The Invite demands your attention. Taking place in a single location, the film follows Olivia Wilde, Seth Rogan, Penelope Cruz and Ed Norton as two couples at a dinner party where people eat but dinner is not served. This film is as much a mirror as it is a movie. It marks Olivia Wilde’s third time behind the camera and it could be the perfect trojan horse for your trip to The Odyssey later this week.

Alas, the summer of movies rolls on.

Something to Think About

This weeks upcoming battle between Argentina and England in the World Cup comes with a load of history behind it. In 1986, this matchup was responsible for the infamous “Hand of God” goal scored by Diego Maradona. A goal that if scored today, would be reviewed for 25 minutes by VAR, only to probably still fall in their favor.

Of course, for our Argentinian readers out here… vamos vamos.
